Will Corbeau Seats fit?
Corbeau offer a wide variety of seats for different cars, off road vehicles and boats and offices. There is no right or wrong seat for you, but we do advise that if you’re fitting into a vehicle you check the measurements before you buy if you are installing into a kit car or a classic car as space can be limited. If applying to a motorsport application you should consider the dimensions after the roll cage has been installed.
Seat Aftercare
If you have a small stain or mark on your seat no matter what fabric try using a small amount of white spirit to remove the mark. The liquid will dry so don’t panic immediately.
Our Road and Classic range can be wiped over with a damp cloth.
Motorsport Seats fabric can be brushed clean with a stiff fabric brush and the shells can be buffed up with polish and if you have slight scratches black car polish should ease the mark.
Why do I need to purchase aftermarket Subframes to go with my seats and what type of frame do I require?
All aftermarket seats have a different fixing configuration to standard car seats. Road seats will need a tailor made subframe, if we don’t not have your vehicle listed please ask us, or we do a universal subframe if we cannot provide the vehicle specific frame, Retro Range seats may just need runners fitted and Motorsport seats must be fitted to side mount frames they will not fit directly to a subframe.
Seat and Subframe Application
It is relatively straight forward to fit your new seats and Subframes to your car.
You need to unbolt your original seat and Subframes from the car.
With your new seat you need to bolt the runners to the subframe and then add the subframe and runners to your new seat. Then you place the whole application to your car and bolt this direct to the floor of your vehicle.
Please note the adjuster handle must face inwards.
Please note:
There are two sets of hole centres under each seat you may need to feel through the cloth to find the second set of holes for the seat so that the seat, runners and frame all bolt together.
Subframes are vehicle specific but some cars are built on the same floor pan for example the Peugeot 106 and Citroen Saxo have the same floor and therefore either model of frame will fit these vehicles. At Corbeau we are dedicated to making sure you have the correct fitting for your car but we can only go by the information we have about the specific vehicle.
If you are having fitment issues please contact our technical department to help resolve this on 01424 854499.
